Words cannot express how sorry I'm feeling for all of you.  He was the rock of your family & will be so deeply missed.  It feels like a piece of my childhood has died with him.  As you all know, I spent a great deal of my childhood at the farm riding horses, playing in the barn (or at church on Sundays) in his presence & I will always look back on him as a positive influence in my life.  He made me not only laugh but he made me feel safe - which is what every child should feel in their life.  You had a special father; don't ever forget that.

My sincerest condolences to Roger's family, especially to Melinda, Gerry, Ashton and family.  What a difference one life makes for so many others.

Marty, Colleen, Kelly, Melinda and Families,

We are so sorry to hear that Roger has left his earthly bounds. He was a wonderful gentleman, kind but firm and respected and loved by so many.

I was truly blessed and fortunate to have been part of the family, if only for a brief time.  And Ken and I spent many nights playing cards and hanging out with Roger and Pat during our visits from Ottawa. He was honest, patient and kind and will be terribly missed. 

And although you have lost that special essence that was uniquely his – those things particular to him and only him – we hope that your wonderful memories of his life will sustain you.

We hope your grief is lightened by knowing that many people, including us, are thinking of you, holding you in our prayers and sending heartfelt sympathy to you and that large, wonderful family. 

We hope it is also a comfort to imagine that while we grieve his loss here, Patricia and many others are rejoicing to meet him beyond the veil.

We hope you find strength and healing in the abundant love that surrounds you.

Roger and Pat showed what it meant to be good parents, good community members, display Christlike behavior and leave everyone with a smile. I am sure he is glad to be with his Lord.

We are saddened by Roger's death.
I have fond memories of good times with him and other members of CABE over many years prior and leading up to  the building of CASS.
Sadly, he was one of the last survivors.
They have left a valuable  legacy.
