Silvana Luigina Ardito

It is with heavy hearts that the family announces the peaceful passing of our mom Sylvia at the age of 90. She was daughter to the late Pietro and Italia Pettenuzzo. She will be reunited with the love of her life "Jimmy", who were together for over 60 years. Very proud mother of Perry (Regina) and Rick. Nurturing and loving Nona to Kayla (Phil) and Nikki. Great nona to Chase and Cole. She leaves behind her siblings Mike (Sylvia), Loris (Trudy) and Rena (Abbie). She is predeceased by her brothers Del (Joanne) and Ronnie (late Lila). She leaves behind many other friends, family and co-workers who will grieve her loss.

Sylvia will be fondly remembered for her love of Tom Jones, who she saw in concert countless times. She had a love for travelling and casinos. As a great athlete of her time, she enjoyed watching her sons play, as well as her favourite sporting events either live or on T.V. She was passionate about her family meals, cooking and baking up a storm at her home. Given her tough exterior and a glance that would stop her boys in their tracks, her love was immense and unconditional to all that knew her.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the care staff at the Davey Home- Driftwood 1 for their outstanding care and compassion.

As per Sylvia's request a private family service has taken place. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations (made payable by cheque or online) to the F.J.
