TURPEINEN, Sisko (January 30, 1929 – November 9, 2011) – Peacefully on Wednesday, November 9, 2011 at the age of 82. Beloved wife of the late Veikko. Dear mother of Mary Nash (Rod). Loving grandmother of Sarah Mattalo (Christian) and Sophie (Mike Madill). Great grandmother of Mischa, Sydney and Austin. Sister of Irja Leppanen (late Viljo) and Terttu Suominen (late Esko). Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Dear cousin of Aira Jylha and Anja Sirk. Friends may gather at the Finish Resthome, 721 North St. (Esti-Maija) on Thursday, November 17, 2011 at 1 pm for a celebration of Sisko’s life. Memorial contributions may be made at the Arthur Funeral Home to the Sault Ste. Marie Humane Society or the Finnish Resthome Association.
