 I did not know Tammy as well as all of you. I hung out with her a bit when i was young , then worked with her for 3 years at Nucomm but then had the pleasure of working with her mom Venie Sawchyn for 9 years... but what i did know about her is that her smile lite up a room and her laugh , oh goodness it was Beautiful , just like her. I know that if i saw her out in public she would always take the time to chat for a moment and catch up. I know that she lived life to the fullest. I know that every time i had a benefit that i was putting on she would message me and donate . Even if she could not come , she always helped me out. To you Tammy Sawchyn, i will never forget your kind spirit , your selflessness , and just plain you. To all of you who were lucky enough to have her in your every day life. You now have a Precious Angel watching over you. God Speed Tammy, you are missed immensely . HUGS to Rod, all her family and friends.

Tammy I want to say thank you for the 3 great years I had with you ,We hit it off right away ,we moved quick,we found Love together ,you were always there for me and I was always there for you ...we knew both knew that  our love for each other grew more and more everyday ,we were meant to be together .
In our time together we met lots of new people made lots of friends ,enjoyed everything together from playing pool,playing bocce,sitting on the deck,yes even coronation street(yes I am still watching it)hahaha  but even now I can't think of anything that we didn't do together,it took a special love to allow us to spend that amount of time together and still grow closer everyday,We had that.
Tammy you are missed so much by our friends our neighbors and family .
Bear has his moments where he will just lay his head on your chair and just sit there,he has been glued to me ,Bear has been going for truck rides with me everywhere i go,to the Esquire,TopHat,Beerstore,and of course he goes to see Dawn weekly for his treats .Almost everything Bear does reminds me of you.

Tammy ,I really felt ripped off when I lost you but after alot of thinking and remembering of what we had and did together I wasn't ripped off ,I had something I never had before ...You  and if only for 3 years I am happy to have what i did,some people may never get 1 year of what we had ,I had 3 .In 3 years I have been the happiest to the most hurt with absolutley no regrets.Tammy you know I am strong ,you seen it ,lived it but there are days like today where I can't leave the house or even answer the phone.I miss you so much .The reality is you are at peace now,no more pain and you can be happy forever now and that lets me get out and play pool visit with our friends drink beer with our neighbors,visit with some of the hospital staff that cared for you.

The sun is shining ,the snow is melting I am sure its your smile trying to brighten my day...and when I think of it that way it does bring a smile  of my own .

I've been following the unfortunate story of a very malnourished & neglected dog from right here in Sault Ste. Marie.  I wholeheartedly feel that the fact that she was saved was your doing. With every positive update I read on her, I think to myself, "that's Tammy looking out for her". Who else would it be but one of the best pet-parents I've ever met! 

Your soul WILL carry on in all the hearts of friends & family who were blessed to know you & love you.

When I first met Tammy two things struck me. One was that she always said things like it was, which I appreciated. And two - there was a life force that shone through her eyes like the most amazing light. I've only seen that in very few people. My mother had that light and I'd like to share the poem read at her funeral since I think it's fitting:

To all those affected by Tammy's passing...although age may have made us different her soul was old and we were special friends..I cherish each memory I have of her and will for eternity..She had a way of bringing out the best of people in all her quirky ways..I will never eat another dill pickle, see the ad for Coronation Street, see another marguarita or lobster that sweet memories of her will not come flooding through..she made a beautiful difference in my life and it is brighter having known her

Well in our tradition, each time we say goodbye to each other at least one of us would cry. This was because we knew that it would be a while before we saw each other again. 
This time, it was me. For I know that the next time I see you will be in heaven. So look for me when the time comes as I will be looking for you.
Thank you to your family, thank you to Rod for allowing me to share in saying goodbye, it meant a lot to be able to be there.
As I have now had the opportunity to spend some time with the each of you, I now see where Tammy got her sense of humor, her stubbornness, good looks and more of her personality from. You are all a wonderful bunch of good people and I wish you peace during this time.
