Our captain, Tom (Timber) Godfrey took his last four o’clock flight out of the Sault on Wednesday, June 27, 2012. Wishing him a “bon voyage” at the gate was the love of his life, wife Mary Jane, children Alison Anne and Brian (Karly), sisters Cathy Smith (David) and Nancy Mancuso (Frank). Tipping his wings to his grandchildren Dakota, Hannah and Ella, sisters-in-law Catherine Huggins and Diane McMeeken he soared over his water treatment plant. He has flown off to meet mom and dad (Alex and Pearl), sister Rosalyn Maguire, mother-in-law Gertrude and brother-in-law Bill McMeeken. He says “au revoir” to all his friends, neighbours, colleagues at the PUC, Genivar, the Canadian Bushplane Heritage Centre, the Sault Michigan Airport, Emergency Preparedness in Ottawa, his fishing and canoeing friends and computer buddies. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the Sault Area Hospital staff and Doctors Bill Weymouth, Sharon Buehner and Ron Fraser. See you in the clouds!
