Devoted husband of Shirley for 67 years. Loving father of Brenda (Bob McDonald), Linda Federley (Reijo), Brent, and Rhonda Fata (Jamie). Cherished grandfather of Sabrina and Colton Fata. Wilfred will also be greatly missed by extended family, friends and close neighbours. Predeceased by his parents Anne and Gottfried Gallander and adopted brother David Landry. Wilfred retired from the Algoma Central Railway, Maintenance of Way Dept. after 32 years of dedicated service. Over his career, he operated the snow plow, spreader and flanger, dynamited, maintained track and instructed track maintenance. Wilfred was a wonderful cook and gardener. We will really miss his Finnish pancakes on Sunday mornings! He also enjoyed puzzles, assembly of intricate ship models, travelling, storytelling and feisty discussions of politics and current affairs.
