William Charles Mathieson

It is with heavy hearts that the family announces the peaceful passing of our Dad at the age of 93.

Beloved husband and friend of 70 years to the late Dorothy. Wonderful Dad of Debbie Kent (Steve) and Sandra Wylie (Roger Gagne). Much loved "Grandad" to Mallory (Brent), Austin (Cassie), Addison (Sky) and Kayne. Special Poppa (Great Grandad) to Harper, Cooper, Callahan, Rory, Elliot, River and Meadow. Loving big brother to the late Myrna Mathieson.

Truly a gentleman, our father loved to sing and was an avid Blue Jays fan, having had the honour to sing the National Anthem at a Jays game in 1988. He loved playing tennis, and a good game of Euchre. He will be fondly remembered for his kindness, there is nothing he wouldn't do for his family, especially his children, wife and grandkids. He was a beautiful soul and we will miss him dearly.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the Echo Bay staff at Mapleview for their care and compassion. We would also like to thank Candy for her friendship and support through the years.

A private family service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations (made payable by cheque or online) to the Jays Care Foundation would be greatly appreciated by the family.
