

Mr. Tucker was born on November 22, 1921 in Chatham County, the youngest son of the late John Ruben Tucker and Cathern Ann Belford. He moved to Bloomingdale, Ga. in 1986 after traveling extensively. He was a decorated D-day veteran in the 30th Inf. 120th Company K. He served along side medal of honor winner Francis S. Currey and was awarded the Bronze Star, Purple Heart, and Combat Infantry Badge for his dedicated service in World War II. He was a member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church.
Mr. Tucker was preceded in death by his parents, five brothers, and two sisters. He is survived by his sister, Florence Ann McGill of Longmont, Colorado and many nieces and nephews.
Graveside Memorial service will be held at Bonaventure Cemetery November 19, 2011 at 11 am.
