Mrs Eleanor Murphy Parks

Eleanor Murphy Parks, passed away March 17, 2013 after a short illness. She was a loving and devoted wife and mother who loved life. Eleanor was born March 23, 1937 in Savannah, GA. She graduated from St. Vincent's Academy, Class of 1955, and was a cheerleader for Benedictine Military School. After raising their children in Brookhaven, PA, she and her husband relocated to Orlando where Eleanor worked many years as a Mortgage Loan Processor. A devout Catholic, she was a 30-year member of Saints Peter and Paul Church in Winter Park, FL. In retirement, she was a volunteer for Shepherd's Hope and a member of the Crosby Wellness Center. Predeceased by her parents, Daniel A. Murphy and Catherine Kain Murphy, and her brother, Daniel A. Murphy, Jr.

Surviving are her husband of 55 years, Robert of Orlando, FL; daughters Patricia Parks Knauf (Alan) of Rochester, NY and Stephanie Parks Shirlaw (Randy) of Coral Gables, FL; and son Gregory Parks (Harriett) of Marietta, GA; four grandsons Daniel Parks, Ryan Parks, Nathan Knauf, and Oliver Knauf. Also surviving are her sister, Theresa Brehm of Metairie, LA and in Savannah, her cousin, Margaret Mary Delorme (Cecil); several nieces , nephews, cousins and friends.

Funeral Services: 11 AM Saturday, March 23, 2013 at Fairhaven Funeral Home, Hubert C. Baker Chapel in Savannah.

Family will receive friends at 10 AM prior to service. Burial following in Bonaventure Cemetery.
