
Elizabeth Nesz Kenreich passed away on Oct. 18th at Savannah Square. Born in 1919, Beth was the youngest of four children of Hungarian immigrant parents, Nicholas and Katerine. In 1940, Beth married her husband of fifty seven years, Edward A. Kenreich. While Ed served in the military during WWII, Beth became a member of “Rosie the Riveters”, women working in factories, building dirigibles in Akron, OH.
After their son Edward, Jr. was born in 1945 the family moved to Springfield, MO and Houston, TX before settling in Savannah in 1957 where Beth worked at WTOC and particularly enjoyed serving in many Trinity Lutheran Church service groups.
In 1982, Beth and Ed retired to Fort Myers, FL where Beth learned to play golf. Following the death of Ed in 1989, Beth returned to Savannah with her brother John and took up residence at Savannah Square where she enjoyed gardening and traveling, visiting Great Britain, Alaska, and Hawaii.
Beth’s surviving family extends five generations: son Edward, Jr. and wife, Holly; granddaughter, Kris Duncan and husband, Cody; grandson Matthew; granddaughter, Katie; great grandson Christopher Duncan and wife, Ranie; great grandson, Michael Duncan; great great grandson, Luke Duncan. Her brother Henry Nesz resides in Lady Lake, FL.
The family would like to thank the many health care professionals who served and added to the quality of Beth’s life.
