

Frank “Mack” E. McMasters passed away peacefully at his home Thursday, September 18, 2014 at the age of 95. He was a World War II veteran serving in the United States Army. Received certificate of commendation for saving a Navy pilot that crashed into a swamp and he pulled him to safety.
He was employed at Globe Shop Co. on Broughton St. for 40 plus years and retired and took care of his loving wife for 10 years. He was a member of Ferguson Ave Baptist Church and loved working in the yard.
He is preceded in death by his parents Frank M. McMasters and Bessie Sutton McMasters; a brother, Paul Richard McMasters; a sister, Carrie Louise Hyatt; and his wife of 38 years, Madelyn McMasters.
Survivors include his daughter, Georgia (Benny) Googe; two grandchildren Stacy (Vince) Jacoby, and Michael Crosby; two step sons Don and Dennis Roberts; two greatgrands, several nieces and nephews.
Visitation: 2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. Sunday, September 21, 2014 at the Fairhaven Funeral Home – Hubert C. Baker Chapel.
Funeral Service: 11:00 a.m. Monday, September 22, 2014 at the Chapel of the Fairhaven Funeral Home - Hubert C. Baker Chapel.
Burial: Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
