Jacqueline Hughes Cason

Jackie was preceded in death by her Husband John (Jack) Cason and Son Joseph Hollingsworth Cason.

She is survived by her two sons, John Cason, Jr. (Kathleen), and David Cason (Sandra) and God-Daughter Jacqueline Gracen; Grandchildren, Lily, David, Victoria, Cade, Jacqueline, Jack and Alex, great-grandson; numerous nieces and nephews.

She was a devoted wife and Mother, a fantastic cook, loved to entertain, an avid reader. She was a devout Christian and long time member of Trinity United Methodist Church where she received the 20th Century Distinguished Service Award for reviving and directing the training of generations of young acolytes. She was a member of UMU numerous Bible study groups and service organizations.

She retired from Bellsouth after many years of service both before and after the war. In lieu of flowers, the family request remembrances to be sent to St. Jude’s Children Hospital or Trinity United Methodist Church.

Visitation: 5 – 7 pm Friday June 12, 2015 at Fairhaven Funeral Home Hubert C. Baker Chapel 7415 Hodgson Memorial Dr. Savannah, Ga. 31406.

Funeral Service: 2 pm Saturday June 13, 2015 at Trinity United Methodist Church

225 W. President St. Savannah, Ga. 31401 with Rev. Enoch Hendry officiating.

Interment will be at Bonaventure Cemetery.
