Linda Boyd Stewart

Linda was born on August 2, 1948 to the parents of Mr. James Abney and Mrs. Arzelle Abney. She was a 1966 graduate of Groves High School. She was also a graduate of Savannah State College. Upon graduation Linda worked as an Administrative Assistant to the Director of Graduate Studies for approximately 20 years. After leaving Savannah State College, she worked for Senior Companions Program and also did private duty work. Both jobs were very rewarding for Linda because she was able to provide love and care to elderly senior citizens.

In 1967, Linda married Staff Sargent Clinton Boyd in Savannah Georgia. During this marriage they had one son. His name is Marcus Ervin Boyd. She is now married to Horace Stewart.

Linda was a member of the Royal Church of Christ, under the leadership of Bishop Willie Ferrell.

She was preceded by her parents and son. Her memory will be ever treasured by her four grandchildren: Makena K. Boyd, Thi Boyd, Bresia K. Boyd, and Kiana L. Boyd all of Tuskegee, Alabama; Sisters: Miriam A. Rodney (Algernon), Ocoee Fl., Sara E. Barnett, New York City, Mildred M. Rivers and Grace H. Barnett both from Savannah, Ga., Brothers: James Calvin Abney( Jackie), and Carnell Abney both from Savannah Ga., Roland H. Abney, Decatur Ga. Along with a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

There will be no funeral or memorial services.
