Mrs. Mary Brushwood O'Connor

Mary B. O'Connor, 86, of Savannah, passed away peacefully at Hospice Savannah on Dec. 18, 2012. She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Ambrose and a son, Cubby, and a sister Viola. Mary was born and raised in Savannah and was a graduate of Commercial High School. She was a homemaker and faithful member of First Assembly of God. Mary loved to sing and was a well known Soloist in Savannah. She was always asked to sing at various churches in the community. She is survived by a son; Steve O'Connor, of FL; a daughter, Marsha O. Poole-Jenkins, (Ed), of Pooler, GA; a granddaughter for whom Mary adored, Lydia Poole, of Pooler, GA.; two sister in laws, Genevieve O'Connor and Jane Holland, several nieces and nephews. Funeral Service: 12:00 p.m. Friday, Dec. 21, 2012 in the Chapel of Fairhaven Funeral Home, Hubert C. Baker Chapel, with Rev. Cecil Gray officiating. Interment will follow in the Catholic Cemetery. The family will receive visitors one hour before the service.
