Mary Lou Merritt Sanders

Mary Lou Merritt Sanders, 73, passed away early Friday, August 14th at Hospice Savannah after a short illness. She was born in Savannah and was preceded in death by her parents, Edwin L. and Nelda Durden Coleman, and her husband Mills Sanders. She is survived by a son, Craig Mills Sanders (Dawn), grandsons Matthew Coleman Sanders and Dylan Mills Sanders, daughter Jennifer Hopson, and several cousins, nieces, and nephews. Before her declining health, she was active in Alee Shrine Patrol Ladies Auxiliary, Tybee Lite Ladies Auxiliary, and Bryan County Ladies Auxiliary. Visitation will be held from 5-7pm on Monday, August 17 at Fairhaven Funeral Home, Hubert C. Baker Chapel. Graveside Services will be held at 10am on Tuesday, August 18 at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens with Pastor Darren Thomas officiating.
