

Captain Max A. Hair, 75, of Savannah, passed away on December 21, 2010, at Emory University Hospital in Atlanta. Max was born January 12, 1935 in El Dorado, Kansas, to the late Floyd and Pauline Hair. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy and Naval Reserves for over 25 years, retiring as Captain. He was a retired Gulf Stream employee, and was past president of the Gulf Stream Retiree Club. Max was also an active member of the White Bluff United Methodist Church. He had a deep love and devotion for his friends and family, and his warmth and kindness will continue to live on in our hearts. Max is survived by his loving wife Jeane H. Hair, children Todd (Jeanette) Hair, Charles (Leslie) Bolton, Tamra McCarter, Heather (Vincent) Kiffner, Holly (Rick) Roberts, Lynn Bolton, and Elizabeth (Scott) Blakley, sisters Susan (Tom) O’Conner and Connie (Lynn) Breedlove, brother Floyd (Diane) Hair, 9 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Visitation will be held from 10-11 AM on Monday, December 27 at Fairhaven, Hubert C. Baker Chapel. Funeral Service will be held immediately following at 11AM with Rev. John Haney officiating. Interment will follow at 3pm on Monday at Glennville Veterans Cemetery. Memorials may be made in Max’s name to White Bluff United Methodist Church, 11911 White Bluff Road, Savannah, Georgia 31419.
