

She was born in Crisp County, GA on January 25, 1928, to the late Thomas Pate and Florrie Childers Folds.
Vivian worked for many years as a civil servant with the Army Corps of Engineers and retired from Hunter Army Airfield travel office. A lifelong active church member, she belonged to White Bluff Presbyterian Church for the past nineteen years. Vivian enjoyed being with her family, her church friends, cooking, fishing, gardening, and boating. Her passion was for her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of sixty one years, Wilson Lee McElveen in December of 2011; brothers, Alfred, Leroy and Virgil Folds; sisters, Eloise Woods, Laverne Pitts and Cammie Rogers and adopted family member, Eugene Hoang.
Survivors include her daughter Pamela Duda (Stephen); son, Michael McElveen; adopted family, Tuan and Yen Hoang, Uyen (Chris), Huyen (Khoi); sister, Eulene Renfro; sister in law, Elizabeth Folds. Other survivors include grandchildren, Alexander Duda (Sissy), Matthew Duda (Kristi), Nathanial Duda (Jessica) and Michael McElveen, Jr. (Kristie); nineteen great grandchildren, Jacob, Aaron, Maxwell, Rana, Robin, Nicole, Jasmyne, Jericho, Joslynne, Alexyas, Heaven, Tony, Mara, Jesalyn, Alanna, Gabe, Ethan, Aivy and Amber as well as a host of nieces and nephews.
A memorial service to celebrate the life of Vivan Folds McElveen will be announced and held at a later date.
