William E. Craven Sr.

Mr. Craven lived in Liberty County for 42 years, having moved from Savannah, Ga. He served in the U.S. Army, stationed in Japan and the Philippines. On his return he worked for the Army Corp of Engineers for 33 years as Captain of the Dredge Henry Bacon.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 70 years, Jo Frances Jackson Craven

He is survived by sons, Bill (Brenda) and Bob (Hilda); daughter, Dale (David) Pritchard; 9 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be 6 – 8 pm Wednesday August 19, 2015 at Fairhaven Funeral Home Hubert C. Baker Chapel 7415 Hodgson Memorial Dr. Savannah, Ga. 31406.

Graveside Service 11am Thursday August 20, 2015 at Bonaventure Cemetery.
