Alma and Grant were avid travelers, venturing across Canada, the USA, Europe, Australia and New Zealand. She was there to support Grant, as his number one cheerleader, throughout his Master’s Swimming career. Alma also loved to shop and would often leave Grant waiting on the mall benches as she browsed the numerous stores.

As the beloved matriarch of the family, she and Grant created a welcoming environment surrounded by love, laughter, and a job jar that was never empty. She was also deeply committed to her community, where she generously volunteered her time to many organizations including The Pilot Club, Toronto Botanical Garden and Scarborough Historical Society.
The family would like to acknowledge the many healthcare professionals at St. Michael’s Hospital, Scarborough General Hospital, Kennedy Lodge Rehab Centre and Ontario Health at Home for their exceptional care. Also, thanks to the staff and residents of Delmanor Wynford for treating Grant and Alma like family. Alma will be remembered for her endless optimism and wonderful sense of humor.
