Amanda Grace Lewis

With heavy hearts and deep sorrow, we announce the passing of our sweet Amanda, at the age of 40. After a long and courageous battle, Amanda died peacefully surrounded by her family and has been reunited with her beloved father Don in the Kingdom of Heaven.

Born on November 27, 1984, to Colleen (née MacDuff) and the late Don Lewis, Amanda’s warmth, kindness, and resilience were felt by everyone she met. Amanda’s love for her son, Nathan, was immeasurable. Their bond was deep, and being his mother was the greatest joy of her life. As a daughter, she was loving and devoted. As a sister, she was a steadfast source of support, laughter, and love. As a niece, cousin, and a friend, Amanda was equally cherished, offering her heart, loyalty, and care to everyone she loved.

Amanda faced her illness with incredible bravery, never allowing it to define her or diminish the love she gave so freely. Despite the many challenges she faced, Amanda remained a beacon of hope and love for those around her. Her desire to help others, even in the face of her own struggle, was a testament to her selflessness. Her loss leaves an irreplaceable void in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

Amanda leaves behind her beautiful son, Nathan; her mother, Colleen (the late Don Lewis); her brother, Warren; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who will forever remember her strength, kindness, and loving spirit. Although she is no longer with us, the impact she had on our lives will never fade.

Please consider becoming an organ donor, as Amanda’s wish was to help others in any way she could. The gift of organ donation is a miracle that many families continue to pray for each day. The family would also like to thank the many doctors and nurses at Toronto General Hospital CVICU for their care.

Rest in peace, Amanda. We take comfort in knowing you are now with your Dad in Heaven, and that we will see you both again someday in the house of the Lord. Until that day, you will always be loved, missed, and remembered.
