It is with immeasurable sadness that we announce the sudden and unexpected passing of our beloved Mom, Anne Hendrick at her home on July 5th at the age of 82.
We find solace in the memories we hold dear of our time together and the fact that she has reached her final destination, to be with the love of her life, her husband of 55 years, Charles Hendrick.
Anne was the loving Mother of Billy and Laurie (Lane) and Nana to Kaden and Jake. Cherished sister of Dina (Doug), Norman (Murlen), Agnes (Kenneth), Omer (Donna), Delia (Ronnie), Stanley (Julie) and predeceased by brother Louie (Gisele). Auntie/Tantie to many nieces and nephews.
From an early age, it was evident that she had a kind and compassionate spirit, always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need. Her warm smile and nurturing nature brought comfort and joy to everyone fortunate enough to know her.
Anne poured her heart and soul into raising her children and touched the lives of many as a devoted friend and a caring sibling. She possessed the ability to listen without judgment and offer guidance with an open heart. Her impact on the lives she touched will forever be cherished.
She had a great love for gardening, card games and arts & crafts which helped cultivate numerous friendships throughout her life. She was a social butterfly who effortlessly connected with people from all over. Her generous spirit and genuine interest in others created a vast network of friends who cherished her companionship and kindness.
During this difficult time, we are grateful for the outpouring of support, love, and condolences from family, friends, and the Presentation Manor community. Your presence and kind words have provided comfort amidst the pain.
While the circumstances surrounding her passing may be incomprehensible, we find comfort in knowing that Anne lived a life filled with love, joy, and purpose. Her memory will forever live on in our hearts and minds as we strive to honor her legacy of kindness and compassion.
In the midst of our grief, Anne would ask us to cherish our loved ones and hold them close. Let us learn from her sudden departure to embrace each precious moment and to express our love and appreciation to those we hold dear. Life is fragile, and it is through our shared love and support that we can find the strength to move forward.
May Anne's soul find eternal peace, and may her memory be a blessing to us all.
A funeral mass will be held on Saturday July 22nd at 1:00pm at Presentation Manor – 61 Fairfax Crescent, Scarborough. A celebration of her life to follow immediately after the mass, in the main dining room.
