Concetta Scattarelli

With deep love and sadness, we announce the passing of Concetta Scattarelli, who peacefully left us after celebrating her remarkable 100th birthday. Her century of life was a remarkable journey marked by faith, devotion, resilience, and a heart that loved generously.

Concetta was predeceased by her beloved husband Paolo, her cherished daughter Angela, and her precious baby grandchild Faith, whose memories she carried close to her heart every day. Today, we take comfort in knowing she is reunited with them in God’s eternal embrace.

She leaves behind her two devoted sons, Salvatore and Carmelo, who were her pride and joy, as well as her loving daughters in law, Rose and Lorraine, who became like daughters to her. She is also lovingly remembered by her grandson Richard and his wife Jessica, as well as her grandchildren Sonia, Paul, Emily, and Grace whose presence brought her great happiness and all of whom she adored.

A proud Catholic Italian woman, Concetta’s life was shaped by her deep devotion to God, who guided her through every joy and every hardship. Her rosary was never far from her hands, and her spiritual strength uplifted everyone who knew her.

Concetta was known for her caring nature—gentle at heart, yet wonderfully tough when she needed to be. Her mischievous smile could light up a room and hinted at the spirited woman she remained throughout her life. She had a natural ability to make others feel welcome, supported, and deeply loved. Her strong spirit and larger than life presence were met with gentle kindness, respect and devoted care by the amazing staff at the Houses of Providence.

Our family is deeply grateful to everyone who cared for her with such warmth, treating her as one of their own.

Concetta’s 100 years were rich with meaning, shaped by faith, family, and love. Though she will be deeply missed, her legacy lives on in the values she instilled, the memories she created, and the love she leaves behind.

May she rest in eternal peace.

Visitation will be held at Paul O'Connor Funeral Home, 1939 Lawrence Ave. E, Scarborough, ON, M1R 2Y8, on Tuesday March 17, 2026, from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm, and again on Tuesday March 17, 2026, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.

A Funeral Mass will be held at Precious Blood Parish, 1737 Lawrence Ave E, Toronto, ON, M1R 2X7, On Wednesday March 18, 2026, at 10:30 am.

Burial will take place at Pine Hills Cemetery and Funeral Centre, 625 Birchmount Rd, Toronto, ON, M1K 1R1. Wednesday March 18, 2026.
