I met Dawn on the school bus in grade 9. We talked for ages after exiting the school bus that day. Her energy and enthusiasm for life was infectious. I was shy. She definitely was not. Our friendship took off and we shared teenage drama, weddings, and the births of our children. These memories are a special gift that I will always treasure. The pain in my heart will never really be gone. I’m struggling to say goodbye dear Dawn. I will never forget you. May you finally be at peace. 💔💔💔

I thought the words would come easier, but they don't. I came to know Dawn as a young women who could be the happiest person on the planet. Intense, focused and engaging. Her spirt drew in your heart very quickly. As her in laws, Kathy and I enjoyed many dinners and happy times. Vacations in Nova Scotia and The Sandbanks were special memories. The birth of Justin brought a new focus on her life and an intense love that all mothers know. Dawn will live on in our memories and I Choose to remember the best of them.

We were broken to hear of the sudden passing of our niece Dawn Jean Michelle Funnell- Curry.  She came into this world a bright light full of joy and sunshine.  Always a smile on her beautiful face and so much fun to be around.  We had so many great laughs & wonderful memories. When her dad passed in 2002, her bright light dimmed and she struggled with her loss, a part of her died inside. We will miss those fun times but knowing that she is once again with her dad helps to heal my heart.  Rest in peace my sweet niece and watch over us here until we meet again. I met Dawn in 1985 while working at Burger King, the friendship was immediate and the laughter flowed even up until last September when Dawn wrote me. We shared laughs of our late night escapades the park on the swings, smoking and making up songs and just enjoying life! Dawn's laugh will never fall silent. Rest in peace "fawtface". Dawnold was one of the funniest, smartest and liveliest people I ever had the privilege of knowing.  She, Quiche and I carpooled to work for a number of years and had so many belly hurting laughs.  Her love for her family and friends was  fierce; I can still hear her voice when I drive a golf ball yelling  "Go Lainey!"

Working at Bell, smokes breaks, lunches,  baseball both coaching and playing and the cottage,   I have some very fond memories of Dawn.  Her smile was beautiful and would light up the room when she entered.  My thoughts and prayers for Justin now ,    You’ll be missed big time Dawn by many.   Rest easy my friend.  

I remember the day that Dawn transferred to the team I worked with at Bell Canada.  She was beaming and radiated such fun, positive energy, I knew we were in for a treat.  Aside from kindness, curiosity, and exuberance she was also  conscientious and committed to her customers and a real ally in the workplace. 
 Dawn really changed the day-to-day experience at work for me, lighting the place up with her laughter.  How can such a powerful light go out?  The world feels darker knowing she isn't in it, but I'm going to do my best to spread her love and openness in the world.  My heart goes out to all of those who loved her.  The loss is a great one.
