My condolences to Doug’s family for their loss four years ago. He was such a good man and had a heart of gold. He use to shop in my parents store back in the day. He was always very friendly and had a smile on his face.  I am so sorry you are gone and would have love to see you again to say hi and of course I am now all grown up. Take care and rest in peace.

With deepest sympathy to Marlene and the Slyford family on the passing of Doug on Tuesday, he was a great friend and a wonderful human being who cared for people from all walks of life, even getting on or off his bus.  The last time I visited Doug he said

Doug was always a pleasure to run into on the bus or at a friends house. He was always kind to me, Mike, Hailey and Adelaide. A real hard working, no non-sense guy. Thinking of his family during this time. Rest in peace Doug.

So sorry to hear this news... always a gentleman at work. He enjoyed his TTC friends and would buy tickets to their stags, retirements, whatever... even if he couldn't attend. Big hug to Liane from both of us!!

Sorry too here Marlene I was a friend of Doug through Don sorry about his battle of cancer and now he can rest in peace even though alot of family member will miss him threw the goodtimes of his life and now he is up in heaven not suffering anymore and not in pain suffering either at home or in the hospital and my codolence goes out with the me family.

My heart is breaking more reading this. Rest in Peace.
