Frances passed away peacefully at 7 Oaks Long Term Care Home (Scarborough) on July 6, 2020 at 95 years old. She was predeceased by her husband John Morrison, grand-daughter Angela, father Fred Adams, Mother Helen Adams, Brother William Adams, Sister Marjorie (Adams) Carr.
Frances was born January 15, 1925 in Toronto. She was the eldest daughter and had 3 siblings William (Irene) Adams, Marjorie (Stan) Carr, Ross (Marilyn) Adams.
Frances worked at Silverwoods Dairy prior to her marriage to John (Jack) on March 29, 1947. They had 4 children – David (Marilyn), Paul (Lynda), Brian (Cheryl), Cathy (James). They lived on Marchington Circle, Scarborough since 1954. She was the ‘Mom” of the street where all the neighborhood children knew that she was there for them if they needed her. Frances mastered everything she put her hand to -sewing, crocheting, knitting, arts & crafts, ceramics, bowling, cooking and baking. Her famous shortbread cookies were a hit at Christmas. She let anyone on the street borrow her tea cup collection (more than 100) for showers or funeral lunches.
She has 6 grandchildren, Angela (deceased), Paul (Cindy), Kelly, Jonathan (Amy), Victoria (Rui) and Matthew. Frances has 3 great grandsons, Drew, Adam and Nathan and is blessed with many nieces, nephews and friends.
Frances was deeply loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
