John Alexander Shand (Alex), age 90, of Toronto, Ontario passed away on Friday, October 29, 2021. John was born April 16, 1931 in Toronto. John was a loving husband to Gloria for 70 years and a beloved father to Paul and Robyn. Cherished grandfather of Chris (Shauna), Courtney (Paolo) and great-grandfather of Katelynn and Olivia. He will be missed by his best buddy Charlie. He will truly be missed by many. A visitation will be held at Paul O'Connor Funeral Home 1939 Lawrence Avenue East on Tuesday, November 2nd from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m.
Due to the COVID guidelines guests are still required to follow the mandate of two metres (six feet) physical distancing. Proof of vaccination and identification is required to be presented at this time. There is no limit to the number of guests that may attend. Upon entry to the funeral home guests will be required to provide their contact information for the purpose of contact tracing. Masks or face coverings are required indoors.
