Leo lived next to my grandparents for my whole life. I have memories of him helping with work outside, building, gardening, etc. once my grandparents could no longer do it, he would always come over and shovel their driveway for them and help with other tasks. He would come visit Oma and Opa and make sure they were okay. Leo always greeting me and my family when we went in the door to visit my grandparents, often sneaking in for at least a quick hello! I thought it was always very nice and am grateful that someone with his heart and sense of care lived next to my family. I feel touched by his friendliness and generosity and grateful for his presence in our lives. Very sad to hear about his passing- my condolences to his family and other close friends over the years like my Oma and Opa.

Leo, was a wonderful neighbour for all of my life while growing up on Mere Crt.
He was a great companion to both my mother and particularly to my father.
My father and Leo both had difficulties with hearing and would sit in the garage and yell at each without realizing they were yelling rather than just having a conversation.
He will be missed greatly on the street.
