Mario Salvino

Salvino, Mario (Mariano)- 88, Toronto, Passed away peacefully August 14, 2024, at home. He is reunited in the afterlife with his loving partner Francis Kerr. Born in Italy, he was the son of the late Raffaele Salvino and Anna Maria Salvino (nee Ferriauolo). Sibling to predeceased brothers Guiseppe, Luigi, and Angelo Salvino and sister Rosa Bianco (nee Salvino). Survived by his step-sons David and Michael Kerr, Nephew Ralph Salvino, Niece Anna Petovello (nee Salvino) and their children. He worked for Rogers Cable for many years. After retiring he ran an auto mechanics shop. He was involved in the racehorse community and had a passion for horses. He could often be found tending his garden where he grew a large variety of tomatoes from Italy and vegetables. Loved by many and a friend to all he will be greatly missed.

A visitation for Mario will be held Thursday, August 22, 2024 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Paul O'Connor Funeral Home, 1939 Lawrence Ave. E, Scarborough, ON M1R 2Y8. A visitation will occur Thursday, August 22, 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, 1939 Lawrence Ave. E, Scarborough, ON M1R 2Y8. A funeral mass will occur Friday, August 23, 2024 at 10:00 AM at Annunciation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church, 3 Combermere Drive, Toronto, ON M3A 2W4. An interment will occur Friday, August 23, 2024 at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery, 8361 Yonge Street, Thornhill, Ontario L3T 2C7.
