It is hard to believe that Maureen left us five years ago. Rest in peace dear friend.

I remeber how joyful and excited she was as she was preparing for her wedding. She said that she knew that this came to her late in life but that it was the perfect reflection of her and Michael's love for each other.

This is for the family of Maureen.  My name is Sarah, I live off Duncairn park and I am a parishioner of St. Bonaventure parish.  I was blessed to be present at the time of Maureen's passing.  I prayed for her quite intently, and asked for Angels to be with her and for the Lord Jesus Christ to be with her as well.  I am so sorry for your grieving and I send my condolences.  I would like very much to contribute to a charity of choice.  I pray for all of you and send my love and pray for your comfort. I met Maureen at church at St. Bonnies.  She also went to the Andrews to say the Rosary . Maureen was devout, kind and funny . She was friendly also . 

We all brought something for the breakfast table  after Rosary . She brought her husband’s homemade French bread. Homemade bread is so good . Maureen was so generous . 

Now that we are home , I have learnt to bake bread . Thanks to Maureen and her husband .

Maureen and I met in Grade 13 at Riverdale Collegiate in Toronto  in 1961. We soon became best friends. Six years later, she was my Maid of Honour at my wedding.  Over the years, our lives went in different directions, but we always stayed connected.  Funnily enough, we both retired from teaching  in 1998 and from the same school in Toronto.    I  will remember Maureen  for her positive outlook,  cheerful disposition  and  her love of  brightly-coloured clothing.  Maureen always looked great. Rest  in peace, Maureen. I will miss you.

Dear Michael, we were truly shocked to hear of the sudden loss of your wife Maureen she goes a long way back in our family. Pat and I met her in the mid 1960's and has been a staunch and cheerful friend since then.
When our children were growing up she always showed up at Christmas with presents for all  the kids. My last email from  her was only about 6 days ago telling what she was doing locked up like the rest of us.
She will be truly missed by all of us. I'm sure it will be the same for her family: Jim, Sheila, Eileen, Cathy, John, Michael.

Maureen was such a ray of sunshine and brought light into every room she entered. Her positivity and laugh always  made me feel so comfortable. Her humour was unmatched - she made me laugh so hard in French Club. My heart goes out to Michael and her/his family. 


Maureen carried joy with her. She loved being with others through her enjoyment of travels, books, the arts and bridge playing. On Friday afternoons, Maureen, the ever patient teacher was the heart and soul of bridge sessions.
