Passed away peacefully at Presentation Manor on Friday, December 1, 2023 in his 95th year. Nicholas was the son of the late Martin Zimroz and Mary Hankewich of Ukraine. He was predeceased by his brothers Steve and Mike and his sisters Kate Wonsiak, Nellie Wowczuk, Alice Zimrose, Rose Wilchynski and Ann Stasiuk. He is survived by his brothers Alex and Melvin and his sisters Lena Sarada, Doris Kerluke, Pat Pluhator, Helen Fisher and many nieces, nephews and friends. He was a member of the Brothers of the Christian Schools for 75 years. He taught in Quebec City, Yorkton, Saskatchewan, St. Vincent Island, De la Salle “Oaklands” and Ukraine. He retired to La Salle Manor and later to Loreto Abbey and Presentation Manor. Visitation will take place at 10 a.m. before the Mass of Christian Burial that will be celebrated on Tuesday, December 12th at 10:30 a.m. in the chapel of Presentation Manor, 61 Fairfax Crescent, Toronto, Ontario. Interment will take place in Holy Cross Cemetery, 8361 Yonge Street, Thornhill, ON L3T 2C7.
