Pierino Alfredo Lucchetta

Pierino was born on September 30, 1947, in Calabria, Italy, to Alfonsina and Francesco Lucchetta. In 1967, he emigrated to Canada through Pier 21 in Halifax, where he began a new chapter that would lead him to build a legacy of love, hard work, and dedication.

Pierino married his beloved wife, Rosa, and together they raised a family. He was the proud father of Lori and her husband, Steve, and he was predeceased by his dear son Johnny. Pierino’s greatest joy in life was his grandchildren, Adam and Catalina, whom he adored with all his heart. His love for his family was immeasurable, and his kindness, loyalty, and selflessness made him a beloved figure to all who knew him.

Pierino’s legacy lives on in the values he instilled in his family—values of compassion, strength, and perseverance. He touched the lives of so many through his actions, his smile, and his generous spirit.

Pierino will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. His memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved him.

A visitation will occur Thursday, January 23, 2025 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM, 1939 Lawrence Ave. E, Scarborough, ON M1R2Y8. A funeral mass will occur Friday, January 24, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Precious Blood Parish, 1737 Lawrence Ave E, Toronto, ON M1R 2X7. A committal will occur Friday, January 24, 2025 at 12:30 PM at Highland Memory Gardens, 33 Memory Gardens Ln, Toronto, ON M2H 3C8.
