It was with deep shock that I learned of the sudden passing of Rehana. This has brought back many memories of good times spent in Guyana visiting at your home and working together at Scotiabank, Georgetown. I remember you Rehana as a very loving and kind 

Our deepest condolences to your entire family in the sudden loss of your mother, sister and daughter. Our love, thoughts and prayers go out to your entire family at this difficult time... may the wonderful and happy memories you have of her surround you and comfort you all now and in the days  to come. Words cannot express the loss we are experiencing right now. We are only finding peace in feeling the impact she made on our lives. We have spent the past few days remembering all her kind words and beautiful smile. All these memories you left us with are proof of your impact on us. To my dearest Thelma and the entire Shah family .... please accept my sincere sympathy. It was only last week in our chat I asked  about Re ... as you remember I was her Godmother and she was my dearest "flower girl" at my wedding back in Guyana 1956. I looked back today at those pictures and see her tiny hand encased in my husband's (whom I hope she sees in Heaven)  as we left the Church. My deep condolences to Rehana's family at your sudden loss. While we lost touch over the years, I still remember Rehana's captivating personality and how loving a family you are.  I do hope that, in time, fond memories may help to ease the shock and pain all her family, particularly her immediate family are feeling right now.

My mind is consumed by happy memories of you.  As the youngest of the first quartet of cousins, I often got stuck playing the undesirable role.  While everyone was hiding away, waiting for me to find them, I would crawl through your window at Thundergrove.  You would spend time reassuring me how sweet I was, while you dressed me up like a miniature image of yourself.  This is how I always pictured you, beautiful, kind, and compassionate, even to the worries of a tiny person when the weight of the world was bearing down on you.  I love you to the moon and back Auntie Re.

Re, I feel like there are so many things that we didn't get to say.  There are so many moments that are left for us to experience.  I wish I could talk to you.  I wish I could see your smile one last time.  The day I was born, you became my big sister.  I was in awe of your beauty and kind soul.  You taught me the true meaning of goodness.  The day you died, you became my guardian angel.  I know you are near, even if I don't see you, protecting me and my girls from afar.  Thank you for being my big sister.  I will love you and miss you forever and always.
