Annette McMinn Kirsh (some knew her as “Ann, Nettie, Nan, Nanny”) entered eternal life on Monday, February 27th, 2017. Her spirit is carried on by her daughter Joyce Onorata-Bonhag, grandchildren Kelly & Jason Klein, Michael & Juli Onorata, and Robert Ferris, 6 great-grandchildren Alexa, Mason, Michael J, Joie, Jace & Jace, her husband Daniel Kirsh, one surviving sibling Pat Fusco, and a blended family of relatives and dear friends from every walk of life.
We were blessed to have learned many valuable lessons from Annette during her 88 years, among them: Pray to St. Anthony when you lose something, finish all your dinner or you’re not getting up from the table (even at 11 p.m.), eat the food on your plate “around the clock”, if you’re bad you’re going to get your ear or your hair pulled (and it hurts!), a-zup a-zup is bread broken up in coffee, order something good off the menu (whatever you want, even in a diner), Salisbury steak IS real steak to her, malted’s have raw eggs and foam, rice goes in warm milk, if you’re bad you will get a poison pen letter (and most of us have gotten 1 or 2), there was a prayer card for everything! You can make u-turns on a one-way parkway (DO NOT DO THIS) as long as you don’t get a ticket. That was my Nan… A fighter until the very end, and yet through it all she never lost her sense of humor, her sarcasm, her often embarrassing lack of filter, or the unconditional love for her family. And her family loved her unconditionally in return.
Annette is reunited in Heaven with her loving husband Robert McMinn, daughter Robin Ferris, favorite son-in-law Peter Bonhag, and her mother and father Jean & Vincent. May all of you beautiful souls rest easy and enjoy one another’s company… watch over and protect us, until we meet again…
