I was thinking if Mr. Manzi so I called him. I would call him ever now and then to say hello. The phone was disconnected. I put his name on the internet only to learn he passed away. My heart is grieving because I was not there at his going away service. But, I know if I live righteous I will see him again in heaven. Along with his wife who were both my adopted parents, there in heaven where there will be no goodbyes. He was a good neighbor and friend. I will truly miss him. I loved both he and his wife.

I've just found out here that Tony passed away. A few of my neighbors asked me if I've seen him and see his obituary here instead. Tony was a very sweet man. Humorous and caring. I would walk my dog Gracie by his house every day for the past 10 years since I moved into the neighborhood. We found that we both belonged to the same Air National Guard unit in Newburgh but in different eras. We would talk about our military experiences and it was so nice to hear about his service. It was very intriguing since we both loved the military. He always wanted me to see his albums and military things but we never got to it. Wish we did now. 

I'm so sad that i wont be hearing him call me over to his side of the street to his house so he could see my dog. He liked her a lot. We used to talk a lot in front of his house especially during the summers. He always asked how we both were and made sure he told me to take care of myself because he was going through so much and I felt it. He didn't like to talk about being ill (but I knew). He just wanted to talk about things in the present. God bless him. He is at peace. My condolences to the Manzi family. 🙏 I will miss him. He was a great and very caring person. 💔

Mr. M. was one of a kind. As a kid, his bark scared me, but my fear was tempered by knowing his heart was larger than anyone's. He and Mrs. Manzi opened their hearts and home to me (and every other person in need). Mr M. cooked for me, and he fought for me. He laughed at me, and he laughed with me. I am a better person because of him, and I feel especially blessed to have reconnected with him as an adult. He will be deeply missed.

Mr. Manz, can you move your car to the street for a week so I can work on my corvette?  That peice  of ——-. You have one week ——hole!

He was basically my father ,  my mentor,  my brutally honest friend whenever I needed anything.  He was one of a kind.  No one could string  Together more curse words while  always showing  compassion, love,  and empathy,  
there is nothing more positive than knowing if something went wrong there was always someone you could talk to or somewhere to go. He was the patriarch of the Manzi family  and also to his extended crazy family. You know who you are.  If you knew Mr. Manzi you are a better person today . His non Judgment, unrelenting pure selfishness  and his infinite ways of bringing people together for dinner for laughs or just a cup of coffee Demonstrated  the high character of this man. He Simply was the best.  



My grandfather was an amazing man. All my life I thought every friend he had was a part of my blood related family because that’s how he treated everyone he loved. I would spend entire summers there with him and my grandmother as a kid and teenager. I’ll always remember him getting home at 4am from Doral Arrowwood and making me and my grandmother nachos. He never asked for anything. He never complained. He always wanted to help. He is the most unselfish man I’ve ever known. He would have given you the shirt off his back, even if it was the only shirt he owned. My grandfather was a rare man. There were many mornings I’d wake up at the house and walk to Galloways to get some donut holes and make him coffee (the way he liked it). I miss him dearly, and not one person who’s met him can say he didn’t leave a mark on their life. Love you Poppy.

I met Tony and Liz through Dave back about 45 years ago. They sort of adopted me and my son Joey, into their home, lives and hearts. Tony was Uncle Jaws to my son, all my son's life and Liz and Tony and their family, were always blessings to me! If I ever needed anything in a pinch (or out of a pinch) they always came through for me! Miss Liz and will miss Tony forever! It is a sad day for me to lose one of my dearest friends! With love, Tony, you will always and forever be in my heart!

I am at a loss for words.  Never in my life have I met someone with the biggest heart, the funniest sense of humor, a love for friends and family than Uncle Anthony.  Always welcomed me in his home and cooked meals I will never forget. Great conversations that had me laughing!!  He was truly one-of-a-kind.   I will never forget him.  How could I?  He was the "best fake uncle" I ever had!

He was unique in so many ways. A tough exterior on the outside with a heart as big as a mountain on the inside. He was stern when he had to be, but compassionate when he knew it was needed. I will never forget his kindness, his honesty, and most important, he never judged me or anyone else. He accepted you for who you were and his home was always open.  He still called me carrot until the last time I saw him. God bless you Mr. Manzi and thank you from my heart. 

Pop, my hero. There are no words to describe how much I love you. You yelled at me with the last breath in your lungs. I will never forget the love you gave my family and the wisdom you imparted on me. You taught me what it means to be patient, what unconditional love is and most of all you loved me for me. I will forever miss our daily calls and the memories we shared. I will miss your cooking and your childlike wonder of life. You are my hero now and forever. Thank you Pop for keeping your promises. You waited till you were a great grandfather.  Your legacy will live on forever, I promise you that.
