Antoinette Gangemi died peacefully on December 20, 2016. She was an exceptional 99 year old woman. Ann worked for the County of Westchester for many years until her retirement. Ann always was a strong and self-reliant woman, lived independently until two weeks before her death. She had a blessed and fruitful life. Ann will be missed by her many friends as well as by her nieces and nephews. She was a quiet, sincere, and gentle person who was a faithful daughter, sister, aunt and friend. Ann loved books, politics and ideas. She was also a real lover of nature who tended her beautiful garden for decades. Ann wove herself into the fabric of the lives she touched and left an indelible mark on all who had the pleasure to know her. She was the last of her siblings to leave this earth. May her journey home be a beautiful one. Mass of Christian Burial Wednesday December 28, 2016 10AM Immaculate Heart of Mary Church Scarsdale. Interment Holy Mount Cemetery Eastchester. Visitation will be on Tuesday December 27, 2016 from 4 -8 PM. In lieu of flowers donations St. Jude’s Children hospital preferred.
