Arcangela Cassidy

The family is sad to report the passing of Arcangela (DiFiore) Cassidy on February 13th in Marietta, GA where she had resided for the past 26 years. She was born on January 23, 1924 in Bonefro, Italy to Orazio and Caroline DiFiore. She, along with her brother Giacamo (Jack), emigrated to the US (NY) in 1933. She married her lifelong husband John Cassidy in 1948. She was a homemaker, Auxiliary Scarsdale Police employee, active with Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts, American Legion, VFW, Little League, and other civic organizations. She is survived by her 3 sons, Stephen of Attleboro Falls, MA, Richard Dennis of Portland, OR, and John Scott of Passagrille, FL, plus Sister Lucy McConologue of Seymour, CT, and granddaughter Andrea Marie Cassidy of Brooklyn, NY, plus numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members and friends. She was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Marietta, GA, and prior to retirement, Immaculate Heart of Mary Church in Scarsdale, NY. She led a constant Holy and prayer-filled life and continuously spiritually inspired others.

Mass of Christian Burial will be on Saturday February 28, 2015 10AM at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church in Scarsdale NY. Interment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in New Rochelle. Visiting hours will be held on Friday February 27, 2015 from 4-8PM.
