A graduate of the New York School for the Deaf, Artie worked in warehouse operations for many years.
Artie is survived by his brothers James and Thomas Chapman. He is also survived by two nephews, Michael (Poly) Chapman and Scott (Karen) Chapman and two nieces, Mary (Michael) Brogan and Elizabeth (Richard) Rasche-Hotetz. He was predeceased by his sister, Elizabeth A. (Chapman) Hotetz in 2002.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 4-8PM at the Edwin L. Bennett Funeral Home. A Graveside Service will be held on Wednesday May 24, 2017 at 10:00AM at Holy Mount Cemetery in Tuckahoe.
