To Mr. Assur’s family,
In the restaurant business we deal with many people of different trades, personalities and backgrounds. Some people are memorable for their culinary tastes, others for their treatment of people in service and most for their character.
Mr. Assur was an inspiration to us all of kindness, finesse and positivity. Always with an easy smile, he was as low key as anyone who entered our place of business; yet he left a very finely etched impression in all of us who gave him service. He leaves us with gratitude and honor as a memory. Hopefully the current sadness will subside and he will be remembered in what was his optimism and remarkable character that stood out among them all. We will always remember him. Our sincerest condolences from the island of Puerto Rico.
