Cecilia “Barbara” Zerafa was born in 1944. She was the youngest of three daughters. Her parents were Demitrios And Domini Savides. Her two sisters are Talusa and Salveila. Her father served in the Greek Army during World War 2 and was a Prisoner of War.

Her family eventually brought her to the USA and they became citizens. She married John Zerafa and had four children: James, Ann Marie, Cecile and Nennette.

She had six grandchildren: James Andrew, Dylan, Adrianna, Victoria, Zoe and John. Her children and grandchildren were her life and she was always so proud of them. She wanted to see all her grandchildren grow into adults.

She loved to travel and visit her family and friends in Australia. Her dream was to travel the world. She loved the beach and the ocean. She loved being outside and talking to people. She loved the Young & the Restless. She loved her dogs and would feed any stray cat that was hungry.

She was a gentle soul who loved everyone and could find the good side of anyone. She will always be loved and missed especially by her children and grandchildren.

We were so sorry to hear of the passing of Aunt Barbara. I had recently connected with her on Facebook and had a nice FaceTime conversation with her. As you could imagine she was very sad that Uncle Johnny was no longer with her. I pray that she has found peace and is with Uncle Johnny. Please give Paulie and Mary a kiss from us when you meet them in heaven. May you rest in peace.

Cecile you are the most beautiful kind hearted aunt anyone could ever have.
I have beautiful memories as a child when you would sing 🎶 songs to me you and spend time with all of us and my brother Nick when you visited Australia.
I admired you and wanted to be like you.
Always well dressed and presented with beautiful hair & makeup.
I remember the time I came to the United States when I turned 21 and come to stay with you ,met my beautiful cousins and had the best time ever.
it’s a memory I will never forget.
We had great talks on FaceTime watching me cook , talking about our pets and life in general and telling you our latest news that Sappho is pregnant and you were so happy.
You were they greatest mum , grandmother and these best auntie anyone could wish for.
May you Rest In Peace and be with all the other loved ones in heaven now.
You will be missed so much.
Love you forever.

Love you, Mom. I hope you are happy and finally pain free. I was so sorry to see you endure the pain and suffering you experienced during those last few months.

Michele, James Andrew, Dylan and myself will miss you dearly. You were the best mother, grandmother and mother in law, a person could ask for in life.

We miss you so much already.

Rest In Peace and say hello to Dad for me.
