Living on the West Coast as we do, my contacts with Rusty were limited to only two or three.  But Rusty made a deep impression on people in a very short time.  He was the consummate host. One occasion was in Scituate when I was visiting Sister Fran and Brother-in Law Bill's summer home and Rusty and family were there too. The duties of chef and host naturally fell to him when he was present at any gathering. That day he made a fresh seafood stew similar to a cioppino (only better) with prawns, scallops, clams and, of course the addition of copious amounts of garlic. It was and remains the best seafood dish I've ever eaten. I will always remember it and Rusty with great fondness. He was a wonderful cook and person, gone too soon. You made the world a better place.

I'll never forget the day you took me to Islip Speedway in your 1959 Thunderbird. we had a great time together. I didn't say too much while you were driving, but I watched every move you made with that car. that day, I thought you were the coolest cousin in the world, and I still feel like that today. I miss those great times we had going out to Brentwood to see you guys almost every weekend. It was a great time and a lot of fun. I love you with all my heart.

So many happy memories.  Good times at Glen Island Park starting out early in the morning running to get as many tables as we could.  Starting out with breakfast of eggs, bacon, sausage, etc. Climbing the rocks and fishing and heading to the beach and so much more.  Ending the day with a bbq of chicken, hamburgers, hot dogs, sausage patties and as if that wasn't enough pasta.  We really must have been a sight. All the good times out in Brentwood.  The many sleepovers and again food, food and more food.  And, of course, Colettes chocolate cupcakes. Racing at the track with Rich in your Thundbird.  I wonder if my Mom ever knew.   You fought the fight and never complained.  Always had a smile on your face.  Always put your family first.  We will miss you.  Rest in peace "Rocky".

I saw Rusty a few years ago at Aunt Betty's house. When he walked in he said "Hello Aunt Nina! " as he said I looked so much like my mom (Nina Falco). That made me smile. That was the 1st time I had seen Rusty since I was a child. Living so far away, I never really got to know and get close to my "New York" cousins as I would have loved to. Looking at the photographs your family posted,made me feel closer to you all. Thank you for sharing them.
