

Christina C. Pinto, age 93, passed away on Monday, June 17. Christina was born in the Bronx on May 18, 1931. She was the daughter of Salvatore and Brunetta (Calculli) Arnedos and sister to Frances Autorino and Anthony Albanese. Christina grew up in the Fordham section of the Bronx and held numerous secretarial positions in Manhattan after graduating Roosevelt High School.
Christina married Jerry Pinto (deceased 1983) in 1957 and moved to the Wakefield section of the Bronx, where they raised two sons, Jerry and Tommy. While her sons were in college, she became a medical secretary for the ophthalmology department in Our Lady of Mercy Hospital in the Bronx, where she took great pride in serving mainly disadvantaged patients in the hospital's eye clinic. During most of her more than 20 years with Our Lady of Mercy, Christina lived in the Kimball Avenue section of Yonkers.
Christina was and will always be a beloved wife, mother, mother-in-law to Gina (Tommy), grandmother to Thomas (Naomi) and Gabrielle, and great-grandmother to Ava. All her other family members, and friends, will remember her with loving memories. To all who came into contact with her, Christina was known as a woman of great compassion and caring. She will be greatly missed and will always be thought of with a smile and gratitude.
There will be a funeral mass on Thursday morning, June 20, at 11:00 for Christina at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, 8 Carman Road, Scarsdale, NY 10583.
