February 28, 1936 – December 11, 2025
Conrad Knowlton Harris passed away peacefully on December 11, 2025, at the age of 89.
He was born on February 28, 1936, in Port of Spain, Trinidad, to Conrad Knowlton Harris and Gladys Cardinal. He was the eldest of six children and remained a guiding presence to his family throughout his life. He is survived by his brother, Archbishop Joseph Harris, and his sister, Sister Clare Harris.
On August 31, 1963, Conrad married the love of his life, Lottie Irene Schubert. Together for 62 years, they shared a devoted marriage and raised three daughters: Tracey Harris Sullivan (married to Joe Sullivan), Wendy Harris Myers (married to Philip Myers), and Kim Harris Miller (married to Matt Miller).
Conrad was a proud and loving grandfather to six grandchildren: Devin, Alex, Skyler, Ben, Rhys, and James, and two stepgrandchildren Luke and Ethan (married to Kincle).
Conrad dedicated 26 years of his professional life to Consumers Union, the publisher of Consumer Reports, where he retired as Chief Financial Officer. He was respected for his integrity, leadership, and commitment to excellence.
A devoted Catholic, Conrad’s faith was central to his life and guided the way he lived, loved, and served others. Outside of work, he loved flying airplanes and watching his grandchildren play sports. Music was also a meaningful part of his life—playing the piano in his earlier years and listening to music in his later years. He also enjoyed watching soccer and football and doing his daily Sudoku.
Conrad’s legacy lives on through his family, his faith, and the many lives he touched with kindness, dedication, and love.
