Born in New York and raised in Scarsdale, he attended Fox Meadow Elementary School and graduated from Scarsdale High. After that, he received his B.A. from Yale University. Donald continued his studies in business and earned his M.B.A. at Columbia University. Following in his father’s footsteps, he worked as a financial advisor.
Donald was a loyal, hard-working, and giving person whose sense of humor, compassion, and warmth were gifts to those who knew and loved him, according to family.
He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Mary Pegg, his son, Donald J. Pegg, and his family, wife Susan and children Samantha, Emily, and Jennifer, and his daughter, Dr. Elizabeth Pegg Frates and her family, husband James and children John and Peter.
Visiting hours will be at Edwin L. Bennett Funeral Homes, 824 Scarsdale Ave, on Friday, September 14 from 5pm to 7pm. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 15 at 9 am at the Scarsdale Community Baptist Church, 51 Popham Road.
