Fill not your hearts with pain and sorrow, but remember me in every tomorrow. Remember the joy, the laughter, the smile, I've only gone to rest a little while. Although my leaving causes pain and grief, my going has eased my hurt and given me relief. So dry your eyes and remember me, not as I am now, but as I used to be. Because, I will remember you all and look on with a smile. Understand, in your hearts, I've only gone to rest a little while. As long as I have the love of each of you, I can live my life in the hearts of all of you.

Doug set a great example for all of Mattys friends he (and Mindy) welcomed into their home and treated like family. He was consistent with his humor, love of sports and of family and always interested in what we were up to. Dougs toughness is also inspiring and taught us young men to be grateful for everything. Thank you for taking me on trips, opening your doors and family to me and for making such great sons who will surely make great futures.

Much love,
Zack

I will miss our talks about family, business, music and faith. When I married into this family, I gained something I never had growing up: brothers. You exemplified everything I could ever want in a brother. You raised an incredible family and secured a remarkable legacy. We will care for your family in your stead.
