Edward Ryan

He grew up in New Jersey, attended St. Peter's prep in Jersey City, graduated from the Wharton School of the Univ of Pennsylvania, received his mastrer's degree from Duke University and did his Phd work at Fordham Univeristy.

He taught at Manhattanville College in Purchase for over 40 years. ( He was Economics Professsor Emeritus & a doctor of humane Letters.) He founded Manhattanville's Economic Freedom Institute, had the college's first endowed chair, the Ryan-Bacardi chair in economics and was the first recipient of the Alumni distinguished Faculty award and has written three books on economics.

Ed loved to travel and traveled extensively throughout the world; he loved music, played the piano and was a longtime subscriber to the Metropolitan opera, he loved the NY giants and was a longtime ticket holder.

He leaves his wife, Georgian, two daughters and three grandchildren.
