Eileen Mary MICHELL

Fill not your hearts with pain and sorrow, but remember me in every tomorrow. Remember the joy, the laughter, the smile, I've only gone to rest a little while. Although my leaving causes pain and grief, my going has eased my hurt and given me relief. So dry your eyes and remember me, not as I am now, but as I used to be. Because, I will remember you all and look on with a smile. Understand, in your hearts, I've only gone to rest a little while. As long as I have the love of each of you, I can live my life in the hearts of all of you.

I became friends with Eileen from Our Lady of Grace church. My fondest memory was when Eileen 'won' a parakeet at the silent auction at our church. Fancy's Pets in Crystal River donated the cage, food etc, but Eileen had to pick out the bird. We planned a day to pick out the bird and have lunch. It was a very hot afternoon and Bill made her promise to have lunch before picking out the bird. Eileen and I joked about the fact that Bill thought we just may have chosen the bird, and left him in a hot car while we had lunch. We had a great afternoon and that parakeet brought us together. Of course, we had to have lunch, shop and then find the bird. Eileen was always so thoughtful and friendly. I never saw her in any different light. RIP my dear and condolences to Bill and family.
