Eleanor “Ellie” Zambrella, of Scarsdale, NY passed away on March 10, 2024 at the age of 100. Born on January 18, 1924 in New Kensington, Pennsylvania, Ellie’s family relocated to the Bronx, where she resided for about 30 years. She then moved to Scarsdale in 1965 where she lived for the remaining years of her life.
Eleanor was predeceased by her mother, Tomassina Pulice, her beloved husband, Jerry Zambrella, and her dear siblings Domenic, Angelo & Marie. She is survived by her son Gerald (& wife Jeannie) Zambrella, her daughter Ellen (& husband Joseph) Trotta, along with her nieces and nephews.
Her memory and legacy will forever live on in her six grandchildren: Janine (Frank), Kristine (Hunter), Jaclyn (Karl), Gregory (Laura), Joseph (Jessica), and Brandon (Samantha). As well as her eight great-grandchildren: Ava, Gianna, Frankie, Gemma, Eli, Giovanni, Eliana “Ellie,” and Elliana.
Eleanor will be deeply missed and forever cherished in the hearts of her family and friends & all those she knew along the way. May she rest in peace.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in honor of Eleanor to either: Lustgarten Foundation for Pancreatic Cancer Research or St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.
