Elizabeth (Sadowski) Beuchert died unexpectedly of a heart attack at her home in Scarsdale, New York, on Friday, November 2, 2018. She was 79 years old. Elizabeth was born in Lawrence, Massachusetts, on July 8, 1939. Her parents were Chester Sadowski and Agnes (Ustaitis) Sadowski. She graduated from Elms College and attended the Radcliffe College - Massachusetts General Hospital School of Nursing Coordinated Program. On August 5, 1961, she married Edward Beuchert in Northampton, Massachusetts.
She is survived by her husband and her children: Edward, Philip, Suzanne, and Alexandra; and their spouses. Her son, Jon, predeceased her. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Jenna, Dylan, and Ryan Beuchert; as well as by her siblings: Julie, Frank, Margaret, Mary Jo, Susan, and Ned. A brother, Chester, predeceased her.
Elizabeth served as president of the Edgemont PTSA and edited its cookbook. She also served on the Board of Directors of the Cotswold Association, Inc., and the Greenburgh Nature Center. She enjoyed her family, writing, reading, cooking, flower gardening, travelling to Europe, needlepoint and other crafts.
A memorial mass will be held on Friday, November 9, 2018, at 11 a.m. at Our Lady of Fatima Church, 5 Strathmore Road, Scarsdale, NY, followed by inurnment at Mount Hope Cemetery, Hastings, NY.
In lieu of flowers, a donation in her memory to The Christophers (5 Hanover Square, 22nd Floor, New York, NY 10004) would be appreciated.
