

Ernest George Brehm Jr, 76, of Mount Kisco, New York, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 17, 2018 at NCH Hospital in Naples, Florida. Ernie was born in Yonkers, NY to Ernest and Agnes Brehm. He lived most of his life in Westchester County, NY.
Ernie graduated from St. Olaf College in Minnesota. He was an Officer in the Navy for 3 years as a Lieutenant JG. Following his service in the Navy, he entered Otto Brehm Inc., the family wholesale bakery supply business as third generation and long time Executive President.
Ernie’s hobbies in life were his love of flying and becoming a pilot with 4 aviation ratings. He loved golf and was an active member at Whippoorwill Club in Armonk, NY and Pelican Marsh Golf Club in Naples, FL. He also loved to work out and went religiously to the gym for over 25 years. His favorite thing in life was spending time with his family and friends.
He was the longest serving Board member, serving 44 consecutive years, many of them as Chairman of the Board for the National Association of Flour Distributors.
He was a generous individual who always gave 100% of himself.
He was a jokester, irreverent at times, loved to make people smile, and always loved to smile himself.
He is survived by his loving wife, Nancy; 4 children, Kimberly, Lauren, Matthew and Garett; 5 grandchildren, Kendle, Carley, Sarah, Jolee and James.

Visiting hours will be at Edwin L. Bennett Funeral Home 824 Scarsdale Ave., Scarsdale NY on Wednesday January 31 from 2-4 PM & 7-9 PM. A celebration of life church service will be held at Grace Lutheran Church 59 Grand Blvd., Scarsdale on Thursday February 1 at 10 AM.
