I had the privilege of being Fran’s Companion for the past 14 months. When I met Fran, I was immediately taken by her wit, intelligence, class and empathy. Fran always treated me with respect, and showed true concern for me and my family. I will always cherish the wonderful discussions we had about politics, careers and family. Fran enjoyed cooking and baking, and she taught me how to make her oatmeal and chocolate chip cookies, and her delicious marinara sauce. More than that, Fran taught me dignity in the face of decline. To the last she would rally for visitors and express concern for her daughters’ welfare. I have immense gratitude for Fran and her daughters Doey and Sarah, who have been especially kind and generous to me. I am sad that I will no longer see my friend, but I am glad that Fran finally has the peace she wished for. Ti amo, Francesca.

I have such fond memories of Fran. Sarah was my BFF in first grade and we remain friends until this day. Growing up, I often visited Sarah at her house and Fran was always so welcoming and made me feel at home. She was always interested in what was going on in my life and took the time to talk to me. I remember that she was an excellent cook, and had great fashion sense! We will miss her. Sarah, Nicki (Doe), and Jean-Jacques, please know that we are thinking of you all at this difficult time and are here for you if you need anything. XOXOXO
